BCH Digital Launches AI-Powered Patient Feedback System for NHS

BCH Digital is proud to announce its most recent venture into artificial intelligence with a new, innovative project aimed at improving how patient feedback is collected, transcribed, and analysed across NHS services.

In collaboration with a trusted healthcare technology provider, BCH Digital has developed an intelligent solution that streamlines the patient satisfaction survey process, and how these surveys are managed and analysed. Through structured questions and open-ended voice feedback, patients are invited to share their experiences, offering a deeper, more human perspective on care quality.
Currently, around 1,000 patient calls per month are routed through the service, which helps to streamline patient feedback. Traditionally, transcribing these responses has been a manual and time-consuming task, and prone to human error.
The new system integrates Google AI’s advanced speech recognition services, which automatically transcribe patient responses with exceptional accuracy. Ensuring every word and sentiment is captured, saving time and reducing the risk of misinterpretation.
Once transcribed, feedback is securely transferred to our healthcare partner’s analytics platform, which enables care teams to access faster insights, identify trends, and respond to patient needs more effectively. Throughout this process, we maintain strict data privacy and compliance with NHS and GDPR standards.
This project marks a major milestone in BCH Digital’s AI journey, with plans to expand our reach and drive efficiencies across services where AI can deliver real impact – empowering organisations and improving lives through smarter digital solutions.
