The Challenge: To provide volume PCI compliant telephony card payment solutions for short-term telethon campaigns

Charities are under increasing pressure to protect supporter data and what can be more sensitive than their credit/debit card information.


Buffalo recognised the importance of being able to demonstrate maximum levels of security when taking telephone donations to both their clients and supporters but needed a solution that could be deployed at minimal notice, for hundreds of individual campaigns each year. To further complicate matters, each campaign needed direct integration with the client’s own merchant arrangements.  

The Solution

BCH introduced a fast-track provisioning process that enables Buffalo to request speedy activation of PCI DSS Level 1 compliant telephone payment arrangements at short notice. Our direct integration with most merchant providers has meant that this is often delivered as quickly as with just 24-hours’ notice, giving Buffalo the peace of mind in being able to guarantee compliance when receiving client instruction.


As a result, they now include this feature in all new tender opportunities, safe in the knowledge that it can deployed efficiently and at minimal cost.
