Manchester based BCH Digital, is delighted to announce its Managing Director, Andrea Wilson-Brown has accepted the invitation to act as Ambassador for local award-winning charity, Forever Manchester.
Forever Manchester raises money locally and invests in grants to support the 200, 000 people in Greater Manchester who are living in disadvantaged circumstances. The grants and schemes enable local people, who are already making change, to improve their communities forever. Previous schemes and organisations supported by Forever Manchester include The Caribbean Elders lunch club, Funky Fridays teenage parent support group and the Abram Moss Warriors football club.
A Greater Manchester woman herself, Wilson-Brown will support Forever Manchester with its public message and campaigns. Using her business and industry knowledge, she will also help to identify opportunities for the charity, in terms of maximising technological and business advantage.
Using their telecoms expertise, BCH are already developing a donation solution for the charity, which they hope to reveal shortly.
Acting as an advocate for Forever Manchester, Wilson-Brown also hopes to provide inspiration for the youth of Greater Manchester. Born and raised in Oldham, Wilson-Brown grew up acutely aware of the disparity around her. After leaving school she worked for a couple of local businesses before finding an industry that truly inspired her, Telecoms. Joining as an Admin Assistant for Freetime Communications she worked her way up to Managing Director in just three-years. Upon her appointment as MD at Freetime, she was celebrated as being the youngest female MD in the industry, and hopes youngsters will be inspired by her achievements and see what can be accomplished with a good work ethic.
Andrea Wilson-Brown, Managing Director of BCH: “Forever Manchester does great work for communities from all over the Greater Manchester area, supporting the people that actually get out there and help their local neighbourhood - such as the Special Olympics in Bury or Urban Ride in Trafford. So, I had no hesitation on accepting the role of Ambassador, I’m very proud to do so and see it as an honour” She continued: “We will be working closely with Forever Manchester and giving them the benefit of our expertise, to ensure they are getting the most out of advances in technology and communications.”
Nick Massey Chief Executive of Forever Manchester adds: “We are delighted to welcome Andrea to the team and look forward to working with her on a number of key initiatives. Forever Manchester is all about people who love Manchester and want to put something back, and as an ambassador Andrea will certainly be able to do that.”
